Lastovo is a small island that was closed to tourism until 1989 because it used to have a military base while it was part of Yugoslavia.
And it’s a real chance because the island has remained intact and has not experienced a fast development or mass tourism like some other parts of Croatia.
Once you reach the island of Lastovo you will have the feeling that you just arrived at the end of the world. Even more if you go out of season when you don’t have much chance to meet other tourists.
